Cleaning the kitchen is going well. Nearing the end. Waiting for the floor to dry, then going to have some lunch. I can’t believe tomorrow is the day. This week is sure going by quick. Looking forward to unpacking and decorating tomorrow. Excited that the movers bumped up their arrival time.

This morning I’m cleaning our guest room and the guest bathroom. Sadly I discovered a poor little baby gecko who had passed away.
I’ve worked the guest room and now am on to tackling the bathroom. I’m looking forward to my date night with my husband tonight after he gets off work. That will be a nice way to end my day after cleaning. Off away I go to continue scrubbing and beautifying the apartment.

Weightlessness
The other night I was at Lowe’s walking back from using the restroom on my way to find my husband who was looking at furniture when I had this sense of peace and calm come over me. I had the sensation that things are starting to fall into place. Starting a new year off in a new place will be so incredibly inspiring. I’m thankful for the apartment I’ve lived in the past five years, but to have a slightly bigger place with nicer amenities. With how much I’ve been working this year I’m looking forward to having a place I can honestly call home and not have this urge to want to go buy a house. I know it’s the ‘in’ thing to go buy a house, but honestly I don’t want all the drama and upkeep that comes with home ownership.
My weekend is going to be spent cleaning like I’ve never cleaned before (hoping to start a new habit of that!) and finishing the new book I started yesterday. I feel much better now that I got that book review off my chest and that writer’s block is gone. YEAH. I detest writer’s block. It’s pure evil.
It feels strange to be on vacation. I’ve been working so much minus the past two weeks or so it will feel strange to have a break. I’m just looking forward to getting moved in, organized and decorated enough that I can sit back and enjoy my new place with my hubby.
